La Palma

After yesterdays excitement and blow out meal I took it easy today. Taking a stroll around the estate I noticed that the palm trees had weathered the tormenta quite well. A lot of the other plants have very floppy foliage. Remember boys and girls foliage doesn't need to be floppy. Foliage is too good to be an afterthought

Factoid: Palm trees are evergreen; they belong to the family called Palmae. (also known as Arecaceae). They are mostly tropical plants and trees. Most of them are single trunk trees; their leaves have different looks and shapes—fan, feather or compound. There are roughly 202 currently known genera with around 2600 species, most of which are restricted to tropical or subtropical climates. Date palms were introduced into Spain by the Moors.
