Conquistador

Did some Spanish history research today. Came across this viejo amigo called Hernán Cortés. The old chap was quite an adventurer by all accounts. Don’t get chaps like him around nowadays. He looks rather dashing don’t you think? I suggested to Don D. that he ditches the T shirt and jeans and went for a more contemporary fashion style. He told me “quedar como un tonto” (He would look rather daft and silly)
Factoid: Hernán(do) Cortés, Marqués del Valle de Oaxaca (1485–December 2, 1547) was a Spanish conquistador and explorer who is famous mainly for his march across Mexico and his conquering of the Aztec Empire in Mexico. Cortés was born in the Spanish city of Medellín in 1485. When he was a young man, he studied law, but he soon gave that up to seek his fortune in the New World that was just being discovered by Columbus and others.
