Luna Llena

Up early this morning, very early, like 6am the moon is still out early. There was a good reason - F1. The penultimate race and my buddy Fernando Alonso is equal on 116 points with Michael Schumacher. I settle down on Don Duende's lap. It's not looking good. Shumi takes the lead. Fernando gets up to 2nd. Don D is not happy, I'm so excited my claws are piercing his knees. 17 laps from home and Schumacher has a very timely engine blow-up. I yelp, Don D yelps! The blood trickles down his legs. Señora Comecocos is bemused. Fernando now only requires a point at the final round in Brazil to be sure of retaining his world drivers' title.
Factoid: Fernando Alonso Díaz (born on July 29, 1981 in Oviedo, Asturias, Spain) On September 25, 2005 he won the Formula 1 World Driver's Championship title at the age of 24 years and 59 days, thus breaking Emerson Fittipaldi's record of being the youngest F1 champion, and ending Michael Schumacher's run of five consecutive championships.
Alonso was often tipped to be Michael Schumacher's natural successor, sharing some of his attributes, however the Spaniard has a disliking for the German champion and after losing to Schumacher at the 2006 Italian Grand Prix he called the 7x World Champion "The most unsporting driver in F1." He is nicknamed El Nano
